Database Software

The Bioinformatics Core Facility provides data housing and database development support for all research projects requiring large size data collection and data management. All data are backed up three times per week on tape to assure data integrity.

Support for the following database engines is available:

MySQL
Oracle

All data is housed on the bioinformatics server on a 1.2 terabyte RAID 5 storage array and can be access from the web or through the command line. We offer development of custom interfaces to your database, either through the web using php and apache, or by custom C++ applications for all flavors of Unix, Windows or Mac OS X.
