Vector NTI 7.1 Installation Instructions for OS X

Once you download the Stuffit BIN file for Vector NTI, Stuffit will extract the file and you'll see an icon on your Desktop like this:

Double click the icon to start the installation process. The first window you will see is this:

Click continue. My screenshot program didn't get all of the Continue button, but it is there.

The next window is this:

Please read the License Agreement and click Accept when you're finished.

The next window that will show up is a Read Me window:

Make sure your Mac has the proper requirements and click Continue when ready. This will start the installation.

Now you need to authenticate the installation process. This window will popup asking you for Name and Password of your Administrator user:

Once you authenticate, you will be prompted with this window:

If you want everything, leave it at the default setting, but you can customize the installation and deselect programs you don't want. When finished, click Install.

After you click Install, Vector NTI will begin installing its files. You will see a window like this:

Once Vector NTI has finished copying its files, you will be prompted to restart your computer:

After the restart, click on your Hard Drive icon and open the Applications folder. You will see a folder called VectorNTI:

Double click on the VectorNTI folder. You will see all of Vector NTI's programs and you can start the application from this folder:

Setting up the License

Now that you have an installation of VectorNTI, now its time to set it up to work with the Health Science Center's dynamic license server. From the same VectorNTI folder as above, double click on the icon labeled License Manager. When it loads, this is what the main window looks like:

Now select Dynamic License exactly as shown for all applications.

Once you have selected Dynamic License for all applications, click the Dyname License Settings tab. Fill out the information under Name and Organization. For URL of DLS, type exactly what is shown in the picture:

Now lets test the connection to our License Server. Go ahead and click the button called Test Connection. If everything was typed in right, you'll see a window like this:
